Wow, it certainly has been awhile since I've updated with any new sketches! Just one sketch for tonight, a random character that was fun to work on for a bit in a fresh new sketchbook =D! Her arm looks kinda strange and big, but I like the sketch anyway ^____^. I think I've gotten a tad bit rusty again, but sharpening back up should be a piece of cake! More sketches and art to come!

I worked more on commissions today, particularly the commission of Nausicaa (the red haired girl in turquoise and white in the wip images a few posts down =3. I've been reworking the hair, and preparing to finish up the feathers. It's really close to being done *excited* XD! I also did some more sketching today, and came out with this. I really like it so far and hope it'll make it to inks and colors ^________^! She's actually a cyber character that I designed awhile ago, but never got around to completing any official pieces of her. I've created so many elf girls, so I decided it was time for something sleak and futuristic! Her color scheme is going to be SO FUN to work with X3! I hope you like the snippet, and more art will come in the future, seriously, even though it's taking longer than I thought (as usual XDDD!) ...also, OMG Super Mario Bros DS is AWESOME!!

Wow, two posts in one day =D! This is another sketch I did today. This time with a 3B art pencil instead of a standard mechanical pencil. It seems like alot of my older work had dynamic poses that I've somehow lost over the years. I really want to somehow get that back in my new work. Sheesh LOL this sure is a huge improvement list I've got going XDDD! I hope I can accomplish all these things!

I spent some time sketching this weekend, and came out with this retro-ish sketch. I like how the face, shading and lighting came out, but I can tell that my anatomy still needs work. I keep planning to work on anatomy, but never really focus on it like I intend to. I really need to nail that down and stop procrastinating LOL. Well, back to the drawing board! XDDD

Yay for Saturday! I felt a small art rut coming on, so I sat down and forced out a few sketches to extinguish it before it took hold XD! I kind of like these, but I'm not too fond of the faces, hmmmm, ah well XD, and I need to get better at drapery. Now it's time to dig back in on these commissions!

GAH! I can't believe how excited I am to start some fresh new pieces from the ground up! Evolving my coloring techniques and drawing style is going to be amazingly fun ^_____________^! It seems like the progress can only come at a steady and calm rate since I'm working full time, but I know that I'll get there eventually if I keep working at it! My gosh XDDDD being an artist is AWEOSME Weeeeeeeeeeeee!

I've been looking at alot more photography lately, for simple fun, and also for improving my art, not even necessarily using it for direct reference, but just observing it during my free time and committing ideas to memory! I'm realizing that observing things in the real world and photos can be really inspiring, since reality never lies as far as anatomy, lighting, and other similar things are concerned! It's kind of wierd that I never really thought about it like this before, since I used to completely seperate (realistic art + learning from reality) from (stylized anime art + drawing from imagination) if that makes any sense LOL. YAYYYYYYYYY for art revolutionary epiphanies of the mind XDDDDD!!! Anyway, that's all of my babbling for now XD, not much else to say, other than that I'm still pushing for more finished art! Here's hoping that it still will be soon!!!

On a side note XD, aren't fennec foxes SOOOOOOOO ADORABLE???!!!!!!

Not much to report other than a few art updates. ^______^ I added another piece to the fray of on-going commissions and art, a personal piece I started on about a half a year ago (I can't believe it's been that long already haha). It's a piece of one of my favorite personal characters, Iris! I wasn't going to finish it, but after seeing how helpful re-working some of my commissions has been, I decided to give this piece another shot at completion, yahooo!!!
